Praying That You Would Be Planted In Holy Soil

ASKS

Dear Hearts, this is week 2 of the “Fridays Are For Faith ‘n Friends” blog hop! Praise God!!! … Every Friday I pray that you’ll join me here for prayer, love, and encouragement. As I explained in week 1, I may not be writing a message every Friday, but I will have a focal passage of Scripture in which I will be meditating on as I write a prayer to encourage your hearts. I will also be available to pray with or for you throughout the day and you can contact me for prayer anytime by clicking here. Also, each week I will share with you my favorite post from the previous week’s link-up.  … So, link-up, be encouraged, and spread the love!

(Hosea 10:12 GNT- I said, ‘Plow new ground for yourselves, plant righteousness, and reap the blessings that your devotion to Me will produce. It is time for you to turn to Me, your Lord, and I will come and pour out blessings upon you.’)

Abba, this morning I ask that You would help us to plant ourselves fully and completely within Your holy soil that the seed of Your promises for our lives would divinely take root and beautifully blossom within and throughout our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits. Father, help us to position ourselves that we would be wholly aligned with Your heart and purpose. Lord, as we turn our affection and devotion towards You, I ask that You would come and pour out Your blessings upon us just as Your Word says. We know that no word from You will ever fail or return to You void, but will accomplish Your intended purpose. So, we honor You, we praise You, and we give You our worship and all of the glory. We thank You that Your Word is perfect and true. Father, we love You and we wholeheartedly welcome You to be God in our lives. I pray that Your Holy Spirit would rest upon each and every heart now and forevermore. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your precious Son, and our Lord and Savior— I pray, Amen and so be it.

Happy Friday! I love you guys!

(Psalm 63:2-4 MSG – So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in Your strength and glory. In Your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless You every time I take a breath; my arms wave like banners of praise to You.)

Lord, we worship You and we praise Your name for You are God and there is none like You. You are worthy and we give You all of the glory. Abba, I come to You this morning on behalf of every heart reading this and I ask and pray that as we honor You and enter into that secret place of worship to revel and bask in the power and beauty that is Your Presence that You would fill us to overflow with Your love, peace, and joy. As we drink from the holy cup that is Your Spirit may our spirits be filled with Your power, strength, grace, and glory. Father, as we seek You, empower us to truly live: standing on Your Word, continually breathing in fresh winds of Your Holy and perfect Spirit, trusting in Your Will, walking in Your purpose, believing in Your promises to us, and resting in the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross for us to have the freedom of living in such beautiful and powerful truths. Abba, I ask that You would simply be God in our lives like only You can be.  We love You. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your precious Son, and our Lord and Savior— I pray, Amen and so be it.

The Power Held Within Our Written Words

ASKS

(Habakkuk 2:2 CEV- Then The Lord told me: “I will give you My message in the form of a vision. Write it clearly enough to be read at a glance.)

As a Writer, today’s focal verse is very dear to me and I truly take it to heart. I believe that just as the power of Life or death lie within the words we speak, that same power is held within the words we write. (Proverbs 18:21 NCV- What you say can mean Life or death. Those who speak with care will be rewarded.)

I journal my prayers every morning and I’ve been doing it for a very long time because there is a sense of freedom for me in knowing that God not only knows the desires of my heart, but that He sees them as well. To me being able to converse with Him through writing is symbolic of that fact that what I’ve written; my dreams, my hopes, my gifts, my goals, my concerns, my worries, my fears are ever before His Holy Presence and I can trust Him to divinely intervene and take care of all of the things that are near and dear to my heart.

Just to show you how awesome God is, yesterday, I attended a women’s conference at my friend Ellie’s church and in the particular group that I was in, the very first session we had was a class where we were journaling our prayers and Habakkuk 2:2 was the focal point of Scripture. My heart just smiled because even before she told us to start journaling, internally God had already given me a vision and my pen was on fire the entire class. I was still writing even as the class was ending.

God values writing. The Bible being a Life-giving token of that truth. … He told us in Habakkuk 2:2 that He would give us His message in the form of a vision and for us to write it down, but I also want to bring to your remembrance that writing was so important to Him that He took the time to write down His vision for us as well. (Exodus 31:18 NLT- When The Lord finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave Him the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, written by the finger of God.)

I believe the reason God said for us to write down the vision He gives us is because there is Life in being able to not just envision, but physically see our dreams and all of the incredible things that He has ordained for our lives right there in front of us. Seeing gives us hope and hope radiantly shines light on the purpose for the very beat of our hearts. Meaning what we see has the power to shed light and bring Life to who we truly are and the things we live for. (Matthew 6:22-23 VOICE- The eye is the lamp of the body. You draw light into your body through your eyes, and light shines out to the world through your eyes. So if your eye is well and shows you what is true, then your whole body will be filled with light. But if your eye is clouded or evil, then your body will be filled with evil and dark clouds. And the darkness that takes over the body of a child of God who has gone astray—that is the deepest, darkest darkness there is.)

I really want to encourage you guys to start journaling your prayers because yes, God values writing, but He values that intimate time with you even more. And it takes us a lot longer to write our prayers down than it does to simply speak them forth. So, just think, the more you write the more time you get to draw near to His heart and simply rest in The Presence of our Savior.

There’s one other thing that I’d like to share with you guys about yesterday’s conference. In all honesty, the entire day was amazing. I loved every minute of it, but this in particular brought great joy to soul.

As we were all gathered together eating lunch, they had a table set up and filled with all of these beautiful gifts that they were giving away. The table had everything; jewelry, scented lotions and soaps, just all of the things that women love. So, if your name was chosen, you got to go up to the table to a choose whatever gift you wanted. Well, because God loves me like that 😉 , my name was chosen and I got to pick out a gift. And out of all of the lovely things laying there before me, my heart was drawn to this beautiful empty box.

Love Box

As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what it’s purpose would be. The box was beautiful on the outside, but empty on the inside. That box represents each and every one of us before we surrender our lives to God and allow Him to fill us with His Presence, power, love, hope, peace, joy, and all of the greatness that is the essence and epitome of Who He is.

Just as God fills us with the beauty that is Him. I’m going to write down the desires of my heart and fill this box with my prayers and the beauty that is my dreams. I’m going to pray over it every single day and as God answers, I’ll open the box to remove the answered prayers and continue to seek Him for the unanswered ones. This box will hold not only my dreams, but every vision that God has planted in or spoken to my heart. And I will be faithfully seeking after Him until everything that He has promised me comes to fruition in my life. (Luke 1:45 NIV- Blessed is she who has believed that The Lord would fulfill His promises to her!)

If you are family, a friend, a loved one, someone I’ve prayed with, or someone that has reached out to me for prayer, I will put your name in my prayer box, because I love you and I want you to experience the goodness that is our God. (Deuteronomy 1:11 CEV- God has even promised to bless us a thousand times more, and I pray that He will.)

I want to encourage and challenge you to not only write down your prayers to lay before The Lord, but to use that intimate time with Him to truly revel and bask in His Presence. Prayer may not always change your circumstances, but it will change you. And I promise you that any change made in your life through intimacy with God, you will not regret because it doesn’t just change you for the better, but for His best.

Abba, I deeply seek You this morning on behalf of every person reading this and I ask and pray that You would instill within their hearts how much You value them and love every moment that they spend in Your Presence. Father, give them Your message in the form of a vision that they may write it clearly to be read at a glance and understand in their hearts the beauty of Your intended purpose. Lord, as their eyes set sight on that purpose, fill them with everlasting hope as You work in and through them in order to bring that vision and purpose to fruition in their lives. Lord, draw near to them. Holy Spirit, consume them. Lord, today and everyday, I pray that Your love, grace, peace, and strength would amply abound within their hearts and within their lives. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your precious Son, and our Lord and Savior— I pray, Amen and so be it.

HIS Whispers Roar Louder Than Our Storms

ASKS

(Matthew 8:23-27 AMP- And after He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly, behold, there arose a violent storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered up by the waves; but He was sleeping. And they went and awakened Him, saying, Lord, rescue and preserve us! We are perishing! And He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm; a perfect peaceableness. And the men were stunned with bewildered wonder and marveled, saying, What kind of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!)

Yesterday during my daily morning prayer time it felt as if the thunder from the storm literally shook the earth around me. As a little girl, I can remember running to hide in the hallway closet of my childhood home every time a storm would come because for some reason I was deathly afraid of storms and I just felt safe there. Growing up that dark, small space had somehow become my place of refuge through every storm.

I have no idea why, but I had always been afraid of storms every since I was a very small child which was always funny to my family and friends, especially as I became an adult. But in deeply seeking God, building a relationship with Him, and trusting in Him with my life and not just with storm-related fears, but with my life in general, I haven’t been fearful of it storming in many years. What I felt yesterday was much different than the fear that always struck my heart like lightning during those storms that terrified me as a little girl.

Long before the storm had come yesterday, I was already in the closet. You see as an adult, the closet is very much so still my safe place. However, it has nothing to do with thunderstorms, but “lifestorms” instead.

My closet has become a very sacred place; a place very near and dear to my heart because it’s the place that I have the pleasure and privilege of intimately meeting with The Lord every single morning. It’s a place where it’s just He and I. It’s the one place where I can put my fears, worries, and concerns to death which allows my dreams, hopes, and the deepest desires of my heart to be resurrected providing them this everlasting life within me. It’s that place where His Presence always seems to amply abound— and in His Presence, it is there that I find true love, peace, strength, comfort, encouragement, inspiration, wisdom, understanding, purpose, and joy. (Psalm 16:11 CEV- You have shown me the path to Life, and You make me glad by being near to me. Sitting at Your right side, I will always be joyful.)

Yesterday, in the midst of that storm and as the thunder rattled and uproariously rumbled around me there wasn’t even the slightest notion of fear. In fact, I smiled as I felt the peace of His Holy Spirit fill and consume my heart. (John 14:26-27 AMP- The Comforter; Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby, The Holy Spirit, Whom The Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. Peace I leave with you; My own peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.)

I find it amazing that even the faintest whisper of His voice speaking to my heart roared so much louder than the thunder from the storm ever could. And as I began to reflect upon that, I came to the realization that even as a little girl who didn’t fully understand what it meant to be in The Presence of The Lord or able to conceptualize what it meant to hear His voice— there in that dark, small space— He was always with me. And in Him being the all-knowing phenomenal God that He is, He knew that many years later yesterday’s storm would come and as I basked in ambiance of His Presence He would be able to remind me and bring to my remembrance that even as a very small child with no clear knowledge or understanding of what it meant to find peace in Him, He was there providing it anyway simply because I belonged to Him, He loves me, and knew my need for it. (Philippians 4:19 NIRV- My God will meet all your needs. He will meet them in keeping with His wonderful riches. These riches come to you because you belong to Christ Jesus.)

What yesterday’s storm and today’s focal passage reminded me of is— our God has the power to calm any and every storm. Whether it’s a thunderstorm rattling the world around us or a lifestorm rattling and wrecking the walls of our hearts, each can be calmed, stilled, and brought to perfect peace in His Presence. So today, I just want to encourage you to find a place where you can intimately and privately seek God’s Presence because when you call on the name of our God, He will lovingly and altruistically come. (James 4:8 NLT- Come close to God, and God will come close to you.)

He loves you with this unconditional, everlasting, all-consuming, amazing, incomparable, eternal love and He’s waiting to hear your voice. In your secret place, He’s waiting to hold you in His arms so He can whisper to your heart to quiet and calm your every storm. Wherever your storms may rage, trust that His voice can and will bring you unspeakable and indescribable love, peace, and comfort just as Jesus had done on the boat with His disciples that day and just as His Holy Spirit has done with me within the walls of my prayer closet for all of these years.

Heavenly Father, for every person reading this touch and speak to their hearts like only you can. Lord, in Your Presence bestow upon them Your love, joy, peace, and strength. Open the ears of their hearts allowing the calming, Life-giving whisper of Your voice to always roar louder than the thunder within their storms. Lord, never leave them. Be with them always because I know that wherever You are there is perfect peace and I want that for each and every one of their hearts. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your precious Son, and our Lord and Savior— I pray, Amen and so be it.

Fighting The Battles Of Life With Joshua-like Faith

ASKS

(Joshua 10:12-14 CEV- The Lord was helping the Israelites defeat the Amorites that day. So about noon, Joshua prayed to The Lord loud enough for the Israelites to hear: “Our Lord, make the sun stop in the sky over Gibeon, and the moon stand still over Aijalon Valley.”. So the sun and the moon stopped and stood still until Israel defeated its enemies. This poem can be found in The Book of Jashar. The sun stood still and didn’t go down for about a whole day. Never before and never since has The Lord done anything like that for someone who prayed. The Lord was really fighting for Israel.)

As I read today’s focal passage it made me think about how much greater the quality of our lives could be if we all possessed that same unwavering faith in our Heavenly Father that Joshua had taken into battle with him that day. What would the reflection of our lives mirror if we never questioned or doubted The Lord’s Presence and power in our lives— but entered His Presence wholeheartedly trusting and believing that what ever we ask of Him in faith, He would liberally and graciously provide?

What astonished me about Joshua’s battle prayer is the manner in which he prayed. If you notice, he didn’t just ask The Lord to still the sun and provide the light that he needed to win the battle. His prayer was more along the lines of a faithful and declarative invocation. Meaning he didn’t ask. He simply spoke it forth in faith and trusted that The Lord would grant his request. To me, the incredible thing about that was— God did exactly that.

“The sun stood still and didn’t go down for about a whole day. Never before and never since has The Lord done anything like that for someone who prayed. The Lord was really fighting for Israel.” <— I was truly amazed by this and I contemplated why it is that God had never answered a prayer like that before and why it is that He hasn’t done it since. Could it be that it’s because we lack that Joshua-like faith? Could it be because when we enter God’s Presence it’s not with the kind of purposeful and tenacious faith needed to still the sun over our battles of life? Could it be because in our hearts we’ve already given up before the battle has even begun and we only enter The Lord’s Presence out of desperation and defeat and not with a true heart of faith and expectancy?

Today, I encourage you to let Joshua’s unfaltering faith be a reminder to you that when you enter The Presence of God and lay your concerns before Him, arise with a heart of expectancy knowing that our God is Jehovah Jireh and He will provide for those who believe in Him. (Mark 9:23 NKJV- Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”)

Just as The Lord honored the prayers of Joshua and fought for Israel, know that He can and will do the same in every single battle that you’re facing in your life. (Exodus 14:14 AMP- The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.) Enter God’s Presence in faith and believe that He will answer your prayers because your faith allows Him to still the sun creating the light you need to conquer your battles and live a life of victory.

A Heart Longing To Pray Like JESUS

ASKS

(Luke 22:39-44 CEB- Jesus left and made His way to the Mount of Olives, as was His custom, and the disciples followed Him. When He arrived, He said to them, “Pray that you won’t give in to temptation.”. He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed. He said, “Father, if it’s Your Will, take this cup of suffering away from Me. However, not My Will but Your Will must be done.”. Then a heavenly angel appeared to Him and strengthened Him. He was in anguish and prayed even more earnestly. His sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground.)

Today’s focal passage truly humbled my heart. It reminded me that though Jesus is 100% God; omniscient and omnipotent, He was also 100% man which means He was fully aware of what it means to truly feel and live life as a human being. The more I read the more my heart and my thoughts were drawn to Him. He knowingly held all power as God, yet as man His heart still remained completely obedient to the Will of God The Father.

Jesus withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed. He said, “Father, if it’s Your Will, take this cup of suffering away from Me. However, not My Will but Your Will must be done.”. Above and beyond His own Will and through His suffering and affliction, it was still more important to Him to honor the Will of His Father. How often do we truly pray for God’s Will to manifest in our lives above our own?

Throughout this entire passage of Scripture there was one word that I stood in complete awe of… if. Notice that as Jesus was praying He didn’t just ask God to remove Him from the dolor and distress that He was bearing. He said, “Father, “if” it’s Your Will, take this cup of suffering away from Me.”. To me, He was saying, “Father, remove this cup of suffering away from Me only “if” it’s what You desire to accomplish through My life”. Jesus treasured God’s plan and purpose above His own life! And He loved and valued us enough to remain obedient to what He knew in His heart God had called Him to do. I’m so amazed by that!

I’ve gained valuable life gems through reading today’s passage. Jesus suffered and endured so much more than I will ever have to bear, yet instead of complaining, He prayed. He wholeheartedly trusted God with His life whether it was going to be for Him to live or to die and our God is so amazing that even through death, He gave and still gives Life.

There are two things that I want you guys to take with you today: Jesus valued prayer because He had faith in what intimately conversing with God had the power to accomplish in and through His life and He knew that even if He had to suffer that God had an incredible purpose for it. (Romans 8:28-30 NIV- We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.)

Don’t get discouraged by your trials, tribulations, or circumstances, but be encouraged that you serve The God Who has the power to deliver you from them! (1 Peter 5:10 NLV- After you have suffered for awhile, God Himself will make you perfect. He will keep you in the right way. He will give you strength. He Is The God of all loving-favor and has called you through Christ Jesus to share His shining-greatness forever.)

I don’t know about you guys, but my heart is longing to pray like Jesus; constantly, relentlessly, selflessly, and faithfully! Our God gives Life and that Life is found in knowing Him intimately. I pray that through your prayers, you become divinely connected and acquainted with God so that His Presence, power, promises, purpose, and provision will reign in your life always!

I love you guys!

Your Desperation Has The Power To Lead To Your Destiny

ASKS

(1 Corinthians 2:9-12 VOICE- But as The Scriptures say, No eye has ever seen and no ear has ever heard and it has never occurred to the human heart all the things God prepared for those who love Him. God has shown us these profound and startling realities through His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep mysteries of God. Who can see into a man’s heart and know his thoughts? Only the spirit that dwells within the man. In the same way, the thoughts of God are known only by His Spirit. You must know that we have not received the spirit of this rebellious and broken world but The Spirit that comes from God, so that we may experience and comprehend the gifts that come from God.)

Along my journey with God, there have been countless times when I simply trusted Him to move in my life. I didn’t worry if He would answer my prayers or not because the moment that I chose to enter into His Presence, it was already established in my heart, confirmed in my mind, and settled in my spirit that He undoubtedly would. However, in my humanness, there have also been countless times when I entered into His Presence lost and broken wondering if He could hear my voice and the deepest cries of my heart.

There’s a saying that goes, “If you’re going to worry then don’t pray and if you’re going to pray then don’t worry.” and I get the gist of that, but I can’t say that I necessarily agree with it. Being human we will all inevitably have times in our lives where worry will try to defeat us and that’s when we should draw nearest to God and pray to Him with all that we are. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 VOICE- Celebrate always, pray constantly, and give thanks to God no matter what circumstances you find yourself in. This is God’s Will for all of you in Jesus The Anointed.)

I believe with my whole heart and soul that every word that God has promised to us is pure, perfect, authentic, and true. I believe that every single word that He speaks forth will fulfill His intended purpose just as He said. (Isaiah 55:11 NIV- My Word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent It.)

In believing all of that and knowing it to be true, in my relationship with God more often than not, it wasn’t the times that I entered His Presence boldly and with confidence that I had the privilege, benefit, and pleasure of experiencing all that He is and desires to be in my life, but instead the times when I humbly entered His Presence broken and desperate, not knowing which way to turn that He revealed Himself to me in the most beautiful and prolific ways. Those have been the moments that allowed me to feel His Presence and experience Him the greatest. Those have been the moments when He allowed me to hear His voice with incredible clarity. When I came before Him worried and fearful are the precise moments that He has whispered to my heart, I Am with you always. Never will I leave nor forsake you.”. In my deepest and most intricate moments of desperation are the moments that led to true, sincere, intrinsic intimacy with God.

Today’s focal passage says, “No eye has ever seen and no ear has ever heard and it has never occurred to the human heart all the things God prepared for those who love Him. God has shown us these profound and startling realities through His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep mysteries of God. Who can see into a man’s heart and know his thoughts? Only the spirit that dwells within the man. In the same way, the thoughts of God are known only by His Spirit. You must know that we have not received the spirit of this rebellious and broken world but The Spirit that comes from God, so that we may experience and comprehend the gifts that come from God.”, meaning all we have to do is love God and allow His Spirit to fulfill It’s purpose within us.

I said all of that to say this… Seek God with all that you are no matter the circumstance or situation. Become vulnerable and transparent with Him because you can trust that He always has your best interest at heart and knows what’s best for your life. And never allow fear, worry, or doubt to keep you from entering into His Presence because in The Presence of The Lord your greatest and deepest moment of desperation can be transformed into the Life-giving, purpose-filled destiny that He has planned for your life. (Psalm 36:7-9 GNT- How precious, O God, is Your constant love! We find protection under the shadow of Your wings. We feast on the abundant food You provide; You let us drink from the river of Your goodness. You are the source of all life, and because of Your light we see The Light.)

No sooner do they hear The Word than satan snatches away what has been planted in them. And some are like the seed that lands in the gravel. When they first hear The Word, they respond with great enthusiasm. But there is such shallow soil of character that when the emotions wear off and some difficulty arrives, there is nothing to show for It. The seed cast in the weeds represents the ones who hear the kingdom news but are overwhelmed with worries about all the things they have to do and all the things they want to get. The stress strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of It. But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear The Word, embrace It, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams.”.)

The NIV version uses the word sown to describe where the seed of The Word is planted for growth, so if you were to sit and reflect, where would the seed of The Word be sown in your life? The Bible says that Jesus Is The Word. (John 1:1-16 NIV- In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was Life, and that Life was The Light of all mankind. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome It. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that Light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not The Light; he came only as a witness to The Light. The True Light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of The One and only Son, Who came from The Father, full of grace and Truth. John testified concerning Him. He cried out, saying, “This is The One I spoke about when I said, ‘He Who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’”. Out of His fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.)

As I thought about today’s focal verses, I started to think about what Jesus truly means to me. I started contemplating the sovereignty and value He holds in my life. By definition the word sown means: to scatter (seed) over land or earth for growth. For some reason I focused in on the word scatter. The word scatter means: to cause to separate widely, to cause to vanish, to fling away heedlessly, squander, or to distribute irregularly. To me the word scatter in reference to the value of The Word in my heart and in my life seemed like an oxymoron because I don’t want anything that pertains to Jesus to be scattered in my life, but instead, securely planted on good earth and carefully nurtured every single day so that the seed of His Will and purpose for my life will grow, blossom, thrive, and prosper into everything that He has created and called me be. I want The Word to be firmly entrenched and established in my heart incapable of being excavated or uprooted.

I desperately want to live out God’s purpose for my life because I truly want people to know Him, and not just know Him, but to experience Him and the Life-giving beauty that His Presence brings to our lives. I want you to simply believe, and not because I said God is real but because you were able to discern, witness, and behold His power at work in your life for yourself. The beat of our hearts give life to our bodies. So today, my prayer for you is that The Word would not be scattered in your life, but that It would be carefully, firmly, and securely planted within the good soil of your heart so that It may lavishly supply Jesus into to every ounce of your being and that His Life would radiantly shine in every aspect of your life. (Matthew 5:14-16 MSG- “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be Light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you Light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a Light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a Light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.)

The Power Of Mustard Seed Faith!

ASKS

(Psalm 37:23-24 NLT- The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for The Lord holds them by the hand.)

The day before yesterday, I was having a conversation with a dear friend and he asked me to pray for him, and so I did. … Right now, my church is doing an amazing event that we do twice a year called “21 Days Of Prayer” and if you’re wondering what that is, it’s exactly as it sounds. But just to clarify, every morning we have an incredible hour long prayer service for 21 days straight. It’s one of the most life-giving things that I’ve ever experienced and every year it becomes more and more amazing than the previous.

Anyways, I invited my friend to come to prayer service with me yesterday morning because after he had asked me to pray for him, he was on my heart and I really wanted to pray with him in person. But unfortunately, he wasn’t going to be able to attend with me. … Before I left for service I kept thinking about him and how I wanted to pray with him face to face, so I had this “grand” idea that since he couldn’t physically be there that I would just take a picture of him with me and pray over it because that way at least I would be able to see his face. When I got to service, I sat down, placed his picture in my lap, put my hand over his heart on the picture, and I began to pray speaking the promises of The Word of God over him. As I was praying, I asked God to touch my friend’s heart and then give me a sign that He did. And I mean right after I said that, my phone started vibrating and it was my friend texting me. God literally answered my prayer in a matter of seconds.

The reason I decided to share this is because I want you guys to understand what the power of prayer has the ability to do with just a small, yet faithful gesture like something as simple as praying over a picture. (Luke 17:6 CEV- Jesus replied: “If you had faith no bigger than a tiny mustard seed, you could tell this mulberry tree to pull itself up, roots and all, and to plant itself in the ocean. And it would!”) Now, take a moment and imagine what God had the power to do through our prayers had my friend been able to actually attend service with me so that we could touch and agree by praying together. (Matthew 18:19-20 NLV- “Again I tell you this: If two of you agree on earth about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I Am with them.”The power of prayer truly has no limits. We have the power and ability to change lives with just mere words. How incredibly beautiful is that?!

I said all of that to reflect back to today’s focal verse and say this: know, believe, and understand that our God truly delights in us. He created us and chose us as His own. He cares about every single detail of our lives and when we take the time to enter into His Presence with the concerns of our hearts, He listens. He listens and He answers. Know that no word that you speak forth in The Presence of God will go unnoticed. (Isaiah 65:24 GNT- Even before they finish praying to Me, I will answer their prayers.)
